3.30p.m. Welcome and Introduction to Losar - Tibetan New Year
4.30p.m. Polishing of butter lamps to symbolise traditional new year cleaning
5.30 p.m. Mountain Smoke Offering performed by Ngakma Shé-zér Khandro and Ngakpa Namgyal Dorge (warm clothes as we’ll be outside!)
7.00p.m. Supper
8.00p.m. Help (karma yoga) with clearing away, washing up, cleaning and re-setting dining room and getting ready for everyone to enjoy Saturday’s celebrations
8.45p.m. Evening meditation

10.00a.m. Introduction to the year of the Wood Snake

in groups of 2 or 3, equipped with string, scissors, ladders and flags, renew the Lam Rim grounds with colour and prayers
gather in the kitchen and try your skills in making delicious momos
be creative - contribute to making a colourful community snake collage
make your own Losar greeting card
create butter lamps for light offerings
hunt and gather up wood to create a bonfire
1.30p.m. Lunch of traditional Tibetan foods
3.00p.m. Engage in a DharmaDanza workshop with Paola Jardim
4.00p.m. Learn and enjoy Tibetan musical instruments and Yogic Song with Ngakma Shé-zér
5.30p.m. ‘Cast out the old and bring in the new’ and join in the Tibetan Fire Ceremony – accompanied by bells, drums, cymbals and long horns
7.00p.m. Supper
8.00p.m. Karma yoga) with clearing away, washing up, cleaning and re-setting dining room
8.45p.m. Evening meditation

This is a lovely event for everyone to enjoy, including families with children. Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times as we cannot take responsibility for minors.
You are welcome to stay the whole weekend on a residential basis or alternatively come along for any number or combination of days or sessions.
For accommodation and catering purposes (residential and day visitors) we do need you to book your place.

We have a range of single, twin and three-bedded rooms with sole use or shared bathrooms. At just £37 per night including supper and breakfast, with our ‘pot luck’ rate, you will be allocated accommodation in any of our rooms, from sole occupancy to a maximum of 3 persons sharing. Please note, that our 3 person rooms are very large spacious bedrooms.
