Regular Sessions
Join the Lam Rim community onsite for regular sessions. Everyone is welcome to attend, with no prior knowledge or experience of Buddhism or meditation required. All regular sessions can be joined as frequently as you wish.
10:00am - 12:00am / Start Date: From Jan 7th 2025
Every Tuesday morning we will gather, talk and enjoy a tea or coffee and some biscuits at our beautiful house and garden. For those interested, there´s the option to walk, connect and help ourselves to feel more connected to nature and the world around us with a walking meditation. On our walk, we will slow down, connect to our breath, notice our senses, bring attention to our awareness and practise calming the mind. The walk will begin and end at Lam Rim Buddhist Centre. The house, garden and all facilities (including the shrine room, lounge and library) will then be open to use until 4.00pm.

Tuesdays - Coffee Morning and optional Walking Meditation
Thursdays - Meditation Group
7:00pm-8:00pm / Start Date: From Jan 9th 2025
Concentration is often perceived as something very effortful and straining. It is actually just sustained attention. By bringing our attention back again and again to just the breath, we develop a spacious mind where we can calmly observe our mind. This leads us to Vipassana meditation, where direct realisation of the three characteristics of existence are investigated: unsatisfactoriness, impermanence and no self. A greater understanding of these qualities gives us freedom, choice and happiness.
This is a group where we can practise together and give each other support. Of course, there will also be time for tea, to share and discuss our experiences of dharma.
